SeaLuxe is a natural beauty company located in beautiful British Columbia, Canada. They formulate and sell luxurious skincare products in highly concentrated formulations, using pure and nutrient-rich ingredients sourced in a sustainable and ethical way. Located on the West Coast of Canada, their products are inspired by the Pacific Ocean. As you may already know, I love working with Canadian companies, but the ones local to me are even closer to my heart. One of my favorite childhood memories is the salty scent of the Mediterranean Sea brought on the gentle breeze or stormy winds while vacationing on the sea side. I didn’t grow up by a sea or an ocean, so I cherished the time spent on the waterfront. Now that I live close to the Pacific I use any chance I have to spend some time on the beach. Needless to say, I was so happy to collaborate with SeaLuxe to review their Bath Tea Trio Gift Box, which captures all the beauty of the Ocean.

This lovely gift box contains three bath teas from the SeaLuxe collection, each conveniently packaged for one use, and a muslin bag so you can enjoy your bath with no mess left behind. The bath teas come in a lovely gray-blue box that looks simple, natural and classy.

The box unfolds completely, showing a beautiful beach and ocean photo and featuring a small inspiring text. Each pouch of a bath tea inside has a transparent side, so you can see the pretty mixture of relaxing salts and beautiful flowers inside.

The three bath teas included are:

  • Feeling Groovy bath tea
  • Ritual Rose bath tea
  • Ocean Goddess bath tea

Ritual Rose bath tea has the simplest ingredient list of the three teas included, but that doesn’t influence it’s effectiveness. The sea and himalayan salts provide a deep and relaxing detox, and together with the rose clay they bring the impurities out of your skin. Rose petals provide a lovely rose scent.

I have to admit that I didn’t use the muslin bag for this bath tea, because I wanted to have the rose petals floating around me. This was such a relaxing and feminine experience, and I didn’t mind the clean-up afterwards (just make sure you have one of those drain guards if you decide to do the same).

Ingredients: Sodium chloride (sea salt), Maris sal (Himalayan salt), Rosa Centifolia, Pelargonium roseum (Rose Geranium), Kaolinite (Rose Clay)

Feeling Groovy bath tea is a mixture of various botanicals and sea salt. As with the previous bath tea, the sea salt relaxes the muscles and purifies skin, while the mix of botanicals provides a relaxing scent and nourishment for the body.

Some of the petals in this mix are quite small, so I used the muslin bag to “steep” this bath tea. I like the lack of mess, all of the sea salt easily dissolved, and since there are no dyes added the cleanup takes less than a minute. Since there is some peppermint added, I used this tea one day when I felt a cold coming, and I loved the warm bath combined with the natural scents. I am not sure if it was the bath that helped, but I didn’t come down with a cold.

Ingredients: Sodium chloride, Rosa Centifolia, Calendula Officinalis, Lavandula Angustifolia, Trifolium Pratense, Hibiscus Sabdariffa, Rhodymenia Palmatta (Dulse), Lavendula (flower), Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Geranium, Pelargonium roseum (Rose Geranium), Anthemis nobilis (Chamomile), Gaultheria Procumbens (Wintergreen), Rosa damascene (rose) and Mentha piperita (Peppermint)

Ocean Goddess bath tea is the most “green” of the bunch, containing seaweed and various herbs and flowers, including some essential oils mixed with the base of sea salt. It is formulated to soothe tired, achy muscles and joints.

After reading the ingredients list and sniffing on this bath tea, I decided it would be a perfect remedy for achy muscles I always get after a dance class I hold. Kids have so much energy! I used it with the included muslin bag, and the combination or warm water, cooling peppermint and other soothing botanicals really helped my muscles relax.

Ingredients: Sodium chloride (sea salt), Rosa Centifolia Fucus Vesiculosis (seaweed), Camellia Sinensis, Rosmarinus Officinalis, Mentha Piperita (peppermint), Jasminum, Lavandula Angustifolia (essential oil), Rosmarinus Officinalis (essential oil), Vanilla Plantifolia extract

I honestly can’t choose a favorite between the three bath teas, as they all had their purpose, and all three were extremely relaxing. It makes me happy when I use natural products like these ones, since I know I am not hurting my body in any way. Since I do have dry skin, the salts did dry it out a bit, so I had to moisturize well afterwards, but it was worth it, since my muscles felt better after every bath.

This gift box would make a beautiful gift for yourself or any of your friends and family. You can also buy the bath teas individually, and they come in pretty glass jars, with a twine wrapped lift, perfect as a hostess gift. They look lovely displayed on a bathroom shelf. The retails prices are as follows:

How often do you have baths? What type of bath products do you use? Does any of these bath teas interest you?
