I really love the subscription box system, and one of the boxes I recently subscribed to is the Your Bijoux Box. This was the only box I saw that fits what I wanted. I need a box that sends jewelry that is not too dainty, since I have lots of those, follows trends, and sends quality pieces. Also, they occasionally send Deepa Gurnani pieces, and I really wanted to get a few of those.
They send three pieces of jewelry, but almost always include something as a bonus. If your ears are not pierced, you can request no earrings when you sign up. Also, you can easily skip a month if you do this before billing, and they email you a few days before the billing. Starting with the May 2017 box, you can update your ring size in your profile (sizes 5-8).
The cost: US $36 + $10 shipping to Canada
Ships to: Canada, US
You can use coupon code WELCOME to receive a bonus piece in your first box. You can see what I received in my first box here.
The jewelry always comes in a small branded box.
Everything is well and nicely packed, and the inside of the cover features a quote (the same one every month).
The July box has no theme, but the card included features summer postcards!
The card contains information about the pieces in the box, as well as some styling suggestions.
These are all the pieces in the July box. They all come in their separate drawstring bags.
Catalina Turquoise Necklace
I was so anxious about the July box, since the June one wasn’t my favorite. A spoiler for this necklace came right after I was billed for the July box, and as soon as I saw it I knew I could relax. I love this necklace!!! These is almost always one statement piece in this subscription, and I knew if I love the main piece, I am almost sure to love the rest of the box.
The Catalina necklace has 2 layers, that can be worn separately, or together. How awesome is that. I basically got 3 necklaces in one! It is a combination of gold and turquoise, so perfect for the summer, with some silver inserts if you need to mix and match metal colors.
Here’s a closer look at the necklace.
What surprised me is how long this necklace is. I got used to statement necklaces being closer to my neck, but since I already have a few of suck necklaces, I think it’s a good thing to get something different – that is why I subscribed to this box after all. Here I’m wearing it to give you a sense of scale.
It’s always great to see House of Harlow pieces in this subscription box. The quality is really good, and I love their designs. Subscribers received these earrings in gold or silver, and as you can see, mine are silver. I prefer gold jewelry for the summer, but I can’t complain, since everything else in the box is gold, and I will definitely wear these a lot in the fall and winter. I found these on various websites, and the prices are different, depending on sales, but the average is around $25-30 USD.
Here I’m wearing them to give you a sense of scale. They are small hoops, and will be great to incorporate into various looks.
Summer Inspiration Necklace by Lucky Feather
I’ve received some cute hair ties by Lucky Feather in one of my boxes, and love receiving another piece. Every box contains one gold-dipped necklace with a palm or sea star charm. I received the palm pendant, but I like both of them, so I’m happy with this one. I couldn’t find this particular necklace online, but similar necklaces are sold on Lucky Feather website for $18 USD each. I love the little inspirational message on the card.
Here’s a closer look at the pendant. The little crystals are not perfectly set, and I really hope they won’t fall out, but they add nice sparkle to this dainty necklace.
Here’s the necklace on. It’s a shorter one, and there is no extender, so one size is what you get. I like where it hits, though, and it’s perfect to wear with more open, summer shirts (maybe not this one).
Every box I received so far had a bonus item in it, and this one is not different. I heard so much about Spongelle brand, and it often appears in subscription boxes, but I never had a chance to try any of their products. This sponge is infused with body wash and reusable, so it’s great for traveling, or just those quick showers when you don’t have time, but need one.
This particular one smells really beach-y, and retails for $9 USD. I didn’t try it yet, so not sure how well it works (reviews are mixed).
I loved this box! Your Bijoux really redeemed themselves for the June box, that was just meh for me. This box has a statement necklace, that’s 3-in-1, a dainty one, some cute earrings and a beach body wash sponge. It is so summer appropriate, that they couldn’t make it any better. I wish every Your Bijoux box was such a home run for me!
You can order Your Bijoux box using this link (all the links in this review are referral links and give you $5 US off, and me a $5 equivalent in points). This helps me get more boxes for reviews, but if you don’t wish to use my referral, you can google the name of the box.
I believe I never received any of the Your Bijoux boxes this early in the month. Because of this, there are still no spoilers for the August box. I believe if you subscribe now, you could still get July box, but I’d send them an email to check, just in case. You can watch out for some August box spoilers on the Your Bijoux Instagram page.
I do believe that shipping to Canada is too expensive for such a small box, and that is the only thing that may make me cancel in the future, since it really adds up with our bad conversion rates. I wasn’t charged any customs duties yet, and will inform you if it happens with the following boxes.
