I really love the subscription box system, and one of the boxes I recently subscribed to is Your Bijoux Box. This was the only box I saw that fits what I wanted. I need a box that sends jewelry that is not too dainty, since I have lots of those, follows trends, and sends quality pieces. Also, they occasionally send Deepa Gurnani pieces, and I really wanted to get a few of those.

They send three pieces of jewelry, but almost always include something as a bonus. If your ears are not pierced, you can request no earrings when you sign up. Also, you can easily skip a month if you do this before billing, and they email you a few days before the billing. Starting with the May 2017 box, you can update your ring size in your profile (sizes 5-8).

The cost: US $36 + $10 shipping to Canada

Ships to: Canada, US

You can use coupon code WELCOME to receive a bonus piece in your first box. You can see what I received in my first box here.

The jewelry always comes in a small branded box.

Everything is well and nicely packed, and the inside of the cover features a quote (the same one every month).

The April collection does not have a specified theme, but the card features spring flowers.

They included this information card in the box, which contains information about the pieces in the box, as well as some styling suggestions.

These are all the pieces in the April box. They all come in their separate drawstring bags.

There were a lot of spoilers for the April box, and I already knew I’d be receiving a Karen Kane necklace and hoop earrings, but that the would styles vary. I received the Ever bloom Eternity Pendant Strand necklace. I appreciate that the necklace came in the original packaging, and inside a separate drawstring bag. I had to really search hard, and found this necklace being sold for $26.45 USD, which seems like a fair price. However, I found the necklace on another site for $7.08 USD.
I saw some other reviews of the box, and most necklaces seem similar in style to this one, so I wonder who received the necklaces that retail up to $120 USD. Out of all the variants I saw, I actually like mine the most.

The necklace itself is quite short, 18” + 2” extender. The chain is dainty and tangles a lot, but the pendant is very nice. It features a cloudy white resin surrounded with tiny, and very shiny, pavé crystals.

Here’s a closer look at the pendant. I like the cloudy central resin stone the most, it makes the necklace more interesting.

Here’s me wearing the necklace at the shortest setting. It’s a very wearable piece, and I’ll be able to match it with a lot of my clothes during spring and summer.

Karen Kane Napier High Polished Gold Tone Hoop Earrings

This is another item where styles varied. I received these slightly elongated, open hoop earrings. These seem to have a much better quality than the necklace, and I loved them as soon as I got them out of their bag. They are substantial, but not too heavy, and I only started feeling them after about 6 hours of wear. The $28 USD price tag seems reasonable and fair.

Here they’re in my hand to give you a sense of scale.

They feature a double K logo on the inside.

Here is a photo of me wearing the earrings. Yes, my hair catches on them every now and then, and I will probably try wearing them with my hair up, but I like the look of them with my hair down #firstworldproblems

Goldenrod statement bracelet

This is an in-house made bracelet, and my favorite piece in the box. I like the mix of gold and light honey-colored stones. For a long time I didn’t wear bracelets because of my super thin arms, but now that I don’t care about it anymore I’m happy to add this bracelet to my collection. I’ve already worn it a few times. It’s very easy to match to my clothes, since the color goes with almost anything.

Here’s the bracelet on the shorter setting. It’s a bit loose for me, but it’s still OK to wear. There is another setting, so it should be wearable for different wrist sizes.

It features a toggle closure, which is easy to close, but it’s not my favorite because it sometimes comes undone on my other bracelets with this closure.

April Flowers Hair Pins

These pins are the bonus item for the month. I love both of them, and they will be perfect to add a bit of sparkle to my hair. The golden one features stones that match the color of the bracelet, while the white flower pin has an off-white pearly finish.

Here’s a close-up of the pins. They are very sturdy, much sturdier than your regular bobby pins, so they hold very well in my hair.

I love this box, but it didn’t wow me. All the pieces are very wearable though, more than the previous boxes I got. I like that they made it all gold after the last box was all silver (supposed to be – mine wasn’t). I actually don’t like that they made the boxes vary, since that can lead to box envy. For example, I saw some subscribers received hoops that were a bit shorter and thicker, and I’d like them more. I also find it weird that there is no jewelry on the Karen Kane website, which makes me feel these pieces were inventory close-out. But all in all, I think the box is worth the price, and I will definitely wear these pieces a lot.

You can order Your Bijoux box using this link  (all the links in this review are referral links and give you $5 US off, and me a $5 equivalent in points). This helps me get more boxes for reviews, but if you don’t wish to use my referral, you can google the name of the box.

The April box is still available (as of April 29th), but there are only a few left. There weren’t too many spoilers for the May box, except that it will feature either the House of Harlow Frequency Necklace or Torre Pyramids Necklace (silver or gold) by jewelry designer Nicole Richie. Also, they asked all their subscribers to update their ring size, so I am expecting there will be a ring in the May box. You can check if there will be further spoilers on the Your Bijoux Instagram page.

I do believe that shipping to Canada is too expensive for such a small box, and that is the only thing that may make me cancel in the future, since it really adds up with our bad conversion rates. I wasn’t charged any customs duties yet, and will inform you if it happens with following boxes. I’ll be skipping the May box, and continue reviewing the Your Bijoux Box from June.
